Format
album
Tracks

Genre
Downtempo
Release date
18 September 2026

Across its 14 tracks, the album moves through mist-covered lakes, abandoned transmissions, fading photographs, quiet skies and the strange beauty of places that seem to remember us long after we are gone. Ambient textures, atmospheric guitars, deep reverberation and subtle electronic details create a world that feels both intimate and infinite. This is an album about listening to what remains when everything else becomes quiet. About memories turning into frequencies, shadows becoming landscapes, and silence carrying stories that words could never hold. The Tree That Dreamed In Static does not simply play in the background. It unfolds like a forgotten film, slowly revealing a place where time, nature and sound continue dreaming together.

The Tree That Dreamed In Static — A chillstep album shaped by downtempo

About the Album

The Story Behind the Album

There is a lake in this record that seems to know more than the people who once stood beside it. The Last Mission Beyond Earth leaves ordinary ground behind, but Birds Above the Silence and The Sound Beneath the Water immediately pull the story back toward nature, as if the planet itself were trying to transmit something after everyone has stopped listening. A Frequency in the Fog becomes the first clear sign that memory has turned into signal. When Earth Is Gone widens the absence, Nocturne For A Broken Sky hangs over it like damaged weather, and No One Lives In That Photograph makes the loss suddenly intimate. Last Call feels less like an ending than a final attempt to reach someone who may no longer exist. Then the lake goes quiet. Birds leave no shadow. Static drifts over the water and Signals Across the Lake keep crossing a landscape that refuses to answer. Goodnight should close the door, yet A Memory Made of Rain leaves it slightly open. The Tree That Dreamed In Static is the story of a place continuing to remember after human certainty has disappeared.

Production Notes

The album is shaped around ambient depth, downtempo movement, atmospheric guitar, long reverberant space and subtle electronic detail already present in its identity. Silence is treated as an active part of the arrangement, not an empty gap: tones are allowed to decay, distant textures arrive slowly, and recurring signal-like gestures connect the natural imagery to the technological one. Its pacing works like a film with very few cuts. The sound moves from wider, almost planetary scale toward smaller human artifacts such as photographs and calls, then back out to water, sky and weather. Warm resonance inside colder space is the central production contrast, giving the record both intimacy and distance.
